Rules and Regs (Read First)

How to Ask a Question

1. Questions should be sent to askajewess@gmail.com

2. Questions may only be asked through e-mail.  Questions asked via any other medium (comments, etc.) WILL BE IGNORED.

3. Questions must be asked in English.  The Jewess speaks Hebrew and Yiddish quite well, but does not feel like translating the questions for her blog.

4. Not all answers will be posted on this blog.  However, the Jewess will do her best to answer all questions in a timely fashion, whether via blog or e-mail.

5. All questions should be signed with either a first name or a catchy pseudonym.  Failure to provide a signature will be treated as implicit permission to mock the sender.

Advice for Questioners

1. Remember that this is a public blog.  No personal information will be shared, but you should make sure that your questions do not contain anything you would not want publicly displayed.

2. In a similar vein, please make sure that your question is well thought-out and written in proper English.  Especially bad questions will be collected and posted annually as part of a "Worst of" collection.

3. Please check the archives that the Jewess has not already answered the same question.

4. The Jewess is willing to translate individual words and phrases.  However, she is not a translation service.  A good rule of thumb is, if it will take more than ten seconds to translate, it's too long.

Comments Policy

Irrelevant, harassing, and trolling comments WILL BE DELETED.  Comments on older posts will be moderated.
